Meadow Creek Restoration, 6/05

Undaunted by rocks, volunteers planted native trees and shrubs on the banks of Meadow Creek, a tributary to the East Fork South Fork Salmon River where it flows through the defunct Stibnite mine site. Famous for their tenacity, Idaho Department of Fish and Game volunteers have been helping the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality accomplish some of the mine restoration work undertaken by the department as well as the United States Forest Service.

Volunteers rock!
